Text messages
SMS Terms and Conditions
What we text you about, how to stop it in one word, and the promise that your opt-in is never shared with anybody.
What this page is
What we send, when we send it, and how to make it stop.
This covers text messages sent by MegaVoxx to the number you gave us. It sits alongside our privacy notice and our terms, and where it says something more specific about texting than those pages do, this page is the one that applies.
Nothing here is a contract. It’s a description of how we handle a phone number once you’ve given us one, written down so you can read it before you decide to.
What we text you about
Two things, and that’s the whole list.
Replies and scheduling. You asked us something and we’re answering, or we’re arranging a time to talk. This is a conversation you started, carried on in the format most people actually read.
Your account, once you’re a client. Work going live, something that needs a decision from you, an answer to a question you asked. The kind of thing you’d want to know the same day rather than the following week.
What we don’t send
We don’t send marketing texts, offers, promotions, or campaigns. If that ever changes we’ll ask you separately, and asking means asking, not burying it in an update to this page.
We also don’t text people who haven’t asked us to. Buying a list of numbers and messaging them is a thing our industry does and we’re not going to pretend otherwise, but it isn’t something we do to you.
How you opt in
There’s a checkbox on our contact form. It starts unchecked, you don’t have to check it, and the form works either way. Checking it is the only way we take a number as one you’re happy to be texted on.
By checking it you’re confirming the number is yours, or that you’re allowed to use it, and that you’re happy to get automated messages from us at it. Message frequency varies. In practice most people get a few while we’re arranging something and none at all in between.
You never have to agree to texts to buy anything from us. It isn’t a condition of any purchase and it never will be.
How to stop them
Reply STOP to any message. You can also send END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT, all of which do the same thing.
You’ll get one last message confirming we’ve stopped, and after that nothing, unless you opt in again yourself. You don’t have to give a reason and we won’t ask for one.
If you’d rather just tell a person, call us on (360) 467-6957 and say so.
If something isn’t working
Reply HELP to any message and you’ll get our contact details back. Or call the number above, which reaches the same people.
What it costs you
Nothing from us. Your own carrier may charge you for messages under whatever plan you’re on, and that’s between you and them. If you’re not sure what your plan does with texts, they can tell you.
Who sees your number
The companies that carry the message. Sending a text means handing it to a messaging platform and a phone company, and there’s no version of this where that doesn’t happen. Those companies handle it to deliver the message and for nothing else.
Your opt-in is never shared, sold, or passed to anybody. Not to a partner, not to an affiliate, not to anyone buying data. That single fact is the one worth reading twice, because it’s the one most often quietly untrue elsewhere.
Beyond delivery, we share your number only where the law requires it. We don’t sell it, rent it, or trade it.
How long we keep it
While there’s a reason to. An active conversation, or a working relationship. Ask us to delete it and we will, and again, no reason needed.
The rules we’re working under
The Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the CTIA’s messaging principles. Both exist because texting people who didn’t ask is easy to do and hard to undo, and both put the burden on us rather than on you.
Practically, that means consent has to be given rather than assumed, stopping has to be one word, and help has to reach a human. Those aren’t favors we’re doing you. They’re the floor.
Who can sign up
You need to be eighteen or over, on a phone that can send and receive texts, with a carrier that supports them. Not every carrier does, and none of them are obliged to.
If the number isn’t yours
Give us a number you’re not entitled to use, or change numbers without telling us, and whatever follows lands on you rather than on us. It’s the one thing here we genuinely can’t check.
Changes, and how to reach us
We can update this page. If we change something that affects what you agreed to, we’ll tell you by text or email rather than editing quietly and hoping you don’t look.
